Biographical / Historical note:The Matchmaker (1958) is a film directed by Joseph Anthony for Don Hartman Productions and distributed by the Paramount Pictures Corporation. John Michael Hayes wrote the screenplay adapted from Thornton Wilder's play The Matchmaker (1955).
