Biographical / Historical note:Catherine Roraback (1920-2007) was a Connecticut civil rights attorney who served as the lead defense counsel for Ericka Huggins during her trial for kidnapping and murder.
Ericka Huggins (1948- ) and Bobby Seale (1936-), political activists and members of the Black Panther Party, faced charges that stemmed from the kidnapping and murder of Alex Rackley in 1969. The New Haven Black Panther Party trial, lasted from 1970 October - 1971 May and ended in a mistrial and dismissal of all charges.
